WORKSHOPS & CLASSES

Many of the classes and workshops offered by the Friends of Schumacher Farm cater to sharing the knowledge of early 20th century rural lifeways; homesteading skills, sustainability, repair and repurposing of materials. A few of the popular workshops we offer annually, while others rotate from year to year, depending on community demand and instructor availability.

Previously offered workshops include wood stove cooking, maple sap, barn quilt painting, nature photography, and rag rug weaving, as well as soap making, cheese making, home canning and seed saving, to name just a handful. We are always interested in hearing workshop ideas, and welcome volunteers to help facilitate these informational and engaging sessions. Contact us with your thoughts.

See below for more information about this year's offerings, which you can also find on our calendar.
