Schumacher Farm Park

Where Dane County's Rural Heritage Comes Alive.

Historic Farmstead

You are invited to join us for various tours offered by Schumacher Farm Park staff and knowledgeable docents. Our focus is on rural Dane County as it was in the 1920s and 1930s. The farmstead house contains many artifacts of the era. The heirloom garden and orchard reflect the period's crop varieties and ways to preserve fruits and vegetables. The farm machinery is just a sampling of the inventory we hold for future restoration and demonstration.

Docent-guided tours are available May 1 - September 30 and must be scheduled one week in advance. If you'd like a tour of Schumacher Farm's historic buildings, artifacts and farm equipment, please contact us to schedule an appointment.

For grades K-6, go to our school tours page.
