Springtime at the Farm and Earth Day Celebration

EVENT CANCELLED

Kick off the warmer weather and celebrate Earth Day with some fun activities at the farm park; look for spring wildflowers on a naturalist-led scavenger hunt, start seeds in homemade pots, play yard games and
everyone's
favorite -- kite-flying!

Seasoned flyers from Wisconsin Kiters Club will be here to give tips on flying kites and demonstrations.  Also, learn more about the Waunakee Monarch Pledge and how to be a Monarch caterpillar monitor this summer.

Bring a picnic lunch with the family and enjoy the afternoon. Free, family-friendly, no registration required.

Sunday, April 26th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

And as an Earth Day celebration special guest, Joe Parisi, will speak at 3 pm about Dane County's Climate Action Plan. More details below.

At 3 pm in the Center for Rural History, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi will discuss what Dane County is doing to address climate change. Where we are at. Where we want to be. How we’ll get there. Dane County has developed a comprehensive Climate Action Plan - CAP that uses public and private efforts to implement strategies to address climate change. We’ll learn how we can reduce the climate’s impact on our community. Light snacks will be provided.
